TERMS OF SERVICE White Wardrobe Hire — Effective May 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before placing a booking with White Wardrobe Hire. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.

1. ABOUT WHITE WARDROBE HIRE

White Wardrobe Hire ("WWH", "we", "us", "our") is a designer dress hire business based in Traralgon, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. We offer hire of curated designer garments for events including formals, footy balls, weddings, hens parties, bridal events and special occasions. We offer both local pickup and try-on by appointment in Traralgon, and Australia-wide postage hire.

2. BOOKINGS

All bookings are made via our website. A booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received and you have received a booking confirmation from us.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your garment and dates.
  • Bookings are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
  • It is your responsibility to select the correct size and garment. We are happy to provide fit advice via direct message on Instagram or Facebook prior to booking.
  • All garments are pre-loved and may show minor signs of wear. We will always disclose any known condition issues in the listing.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to place a booking.

3. HIRE PERIOD

The standard hire period is 3 days, commencing from the date of pickup or the date of delivery as confirmed in your booking. We aim to dispatch early where possible to allow extra time for delivery.

  • For local hires, the hire period begins on your agreed pickup date and the garment must be returned by the agreed return date and time.
  • For postal hires, the hire period begins on the date of delivery and the garment must be lodged for return at an Australia Post counter by the final day of hire. If your return date falls on a Sunday, you may lodge it the following Monday morning.
  • If you require additional hire days, please contact us before your hire period ends. Extensions are subject to availability and an additional fee applies.

4. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

We do not offer monetary refunds on hire fees. If you need to cancel your booking, the following applies:

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before your event date are eligible for a store credit valid for 12 months, which can be used toward any future hire.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of your event date are not eligible for a store credit or refund.
  • Once a garment has been dispatched, no store credit or refund will be issued under any circumstances.

To cancel your booking please contact us at whitewardrobehire@gmail.com with your order number as soon as possible.

5. CARE OF GARMENTS

You are responsible for the garment from the moment it is collected or delivered until it is returned to us or lodged with Australia Post.

  • Please inspect the garment upon receipt. Any pre-existing damage or condition concerns must be reported to us within 4 hours of collection or delivery. Failure to do so may result in you being held liable for any damage found upon return.
  • Handle garments with care. Please be mindful of jewellery, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, and food or drink that may cause staining or damage.
  • If wearing fake tan, it must be fully developed for atleast 48hrs and set before wearing the garment.
  • Do not attempt to wash, dry clean, iron, steam, or alter the garment in any way.
  • Do not make any alterations, additions, or repairs to the garment.
  • Store the garment on a hanger in a safe, clean location away from children and pets.
  • Return the garment in the same condition it was received, inside the provided packaging.

Dry cleaning is included in your hire fee — please do not attempt to clean the garment yourself. If something is spilled, contact us immediately via DM or email for advice before doing anything.

6. DAMAGE & LOSS

All garments remain the sole property of White Wardrobe Hire at all times.

  • Minor wear consistent with normal hire use is expected and accepted.
  • Standard dry cleaning is included in your hire fee. Any staining or damage that requires specialised cleaning or repair beyond our standard process will incur an additional fee, which we will communicate to you upon return of the garment.
  • If a garment is deemed irreparable, you will be charged the full retail RRP of the garment as listed on our website at the time of hire.
  • If a garment is lost, stolen, or not returned, you will be invoiced for the full retail RRP of the garment. Unpaid invoices will be referred to a debt collection service.
  • We reserve the right to charge the payment method used at the time of booking for any outstanding damage or loss fees.
  • If a garment is lost by Australia Post during outbound delivery, we will not hold you liable. If the garment is lost during your return postage due to inadequate lodgement (e.g. posting via a street box rather than over the counter at Australia Post), you may be held liable.

7. POSTAGE & DELIVERY

  • We dispatch garments via Australia Post Express so they arrive on or before the first day of your hire period. We aim to dispatch early where possible to allow extra time for delivery.
  • It is your responsibility to allow adequate lead time when booking. We recommend allowing at least 3–5 business days for delivery, and more if you are in a rural or regional area.
  • We are not responsible for Australia Post delays once a garment has been dispatched. No refund or store credit will be issued for late delivery caused by postal delays.
  • A prepaid return satchel will be included with your hire. You must use this to return the garment.
  • Returns must be lodged over the counter at an Australia Post office — not via a street post box — and a lodgement receipt must be obtained as proof. Please hold onto this receipt until we confirm the garment has been received.
  • If your return date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, you may lodge it on the next available business day without incurring a late fee, provided you contact us in advance.
  • Clients in rural or remote areas should notify us at the time of booking so appropriate postage timeframes can be arranged.

 

8. LOCAL PICKUP & TRY-ON

Local pickup and try-on appointments are available in Traralgon, Victoria, by appointment only.

  • To book a try-on or arrange local pickup, please contact us via direct message on Instagram or Facebook.
  • Garments must be returned directly to us by the agreed return date and time.
  • Late returns for local hires will incur a late fee of $30 per day.

9. LATE RETURNS

Garments returned after the agreed return date will incur a late return fee.

  • Late fees are charged at $30.00 per day per garment.
  • Late fees will be charged to the payment method provided at booking, or invoiced directly.
  • If a garment is not returned within 14 days of the hire end date, it will be treated as a lost item and the full RRP will be charged.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Some product imagery used on the White Wardrobe Hire website and social media is sourced from designer brand websites and remains the property of the respective brand. All original White Wardrobe Hire content — including our own photography, branding, copy, and design — is owned by White Wardrobe Hire and protected under Australian intellectual property law.

By participating in a content collaboration with White Wardrobe Hire, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, share, and repurpose content you create while wearing our garments for marketing purposes across our website and social platforms.

11. PRIVACY

We collect personal information including your name, address, email, and payment details for the purpose of processing your booking and communicating with you. We handle your information in accordance with Australian privacy law and will not sell or share your data with third parties except where required to fulfil your order (e.g. Australia Post). 12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, White Wardrobe Hire's liability is limited to the value of the hire fee paid. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from your hire. Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these terms.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
